Therapy for OCD + Anxiety in Salado, Texas
Is your mind constantly racing, ruminating, and stuck in the never-ending thought loop? Are you compulsively completing rituals or acts to try and find relief, but finding yourself more and more anxious?
I’m here to help you break free from the anxiety, intrusive thoughts, compulsive behaviors, reassurance-seeking, and constant doubt that keep you stuck. Maybe you spend hours analyzing conversations, checking, researching, avoiding, or trying to find the certainty you need to finally feel okay. You deserve a life that isn't organized around managing anxiety.
I utilize Exposure and Response Prevention therapy (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you relate to your thoughts differently, build your tolerance for uncertainty and discomfort, and step out of cycles of avoidance, checking, and reassurance-seeking. Rather than trying to eliminate every uncomfortable thought or feeling, we'll work toward responding to them in more flexible and workable ways, so you can put your energy back into the people, experiences, and values that matter to you.
With exposure therapy and your values guiding your actions, it is possible to stop letting anxiety call the shots and start building a life that feels bigger than your fears.

LEARN MORE ABOUT OCD
The average amount of time it takes someone with OCD to be diagnosed and receive care is 7 years. OCD can make you question what your thoughts mean about you as a person, and asking for help is never even considered as an option.
Unfortunately, society does not know enough about OCD to spot it and offer helpful resources. Often in the media, OCD is depicted as being overly concerned about germs, or being neat and tidy, when in actuality, OCD is so much more than just that.
Learn more about the many different ways that OCD can show up in your life by exploring the drop down menu here. These are the different OCD subtypes that I am specialty trained to provide support and care for in your journey towards recovery and healing.
Please Note:
If you are experiencing hoarding disorder, this is not an OCD subtype that I work with. Our phone consult is a great way to determine what level of support would be best for you and I can happily provide referrals!
