HOW MANY HOURS OF YOUR DAY ARE CONSUMED BY UNWANTED THOUGHTS, AVOIDING DISCOMFORT, OR SEARCHING FOR CERTAINTY?

IT IS MY JOY & HONOR TO SIT WITH YOU IN DEEP CONNECTION & WITNESS BUILDING YOUR MEANINGFUL LIFE.

Welcome, friends! I'm Bobbie Shae Melton, LPC—you can call me Bobbie.

I bring high empathy + conviction, a side of quirkiness, and a splash of lived experience into the therapy room. I believe therapy should be a place where you can bring the thoughts, fears, doubts, and behaviors that feel difficult to say out loud—and explore them without judgment.

I specialize in working with OCD, anxiety, and eating disorders, with a particular love for Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I’m especially interested in helping people who feel stuck in cycles of overthinking, avoidance, reassurance-seeking, checking, perfectionism, or trying desperately to find certainty.

My approach is evidence-based, collaborative, and flexible. I won't hand you a one-size-fits-all roadmap and send you on your way. We'll figure out what matters to you, what is keeping you stuck, and how to move toward the life you want—even when your brain is telling you that you need to feel certain, comfortable, or “ready” first.

I work with guys and gals age 16+ who are:

  • Caught in unwanted thoughts, intrusive thoughts, or endless mental loops

  • Searching for certainty or reassurance but never quite feeling satisfied

  • Avoiding situations, sensations, thoughts, or feelings that make you uncomfortable

  • Struggling with compulsions, checking, perfectionism, or rituals

  • Feeling stuck in a complicated relationship with food, body image, or exercise

  • Tired of feeling like you are never good enough

  • Anxious, overwhelmed, or exhausted from trying to keep everything under control

  • Ready to build a meaningful life that isn't dictated by fear

“I knew from day 1 that Bobbie was my ideal therapist.”

She is compassionate, non-judgmental, humorous and truly a safe place to land. I had been stuck in disordered eating cycles pretty much my entire life, but with Bobbie I’ve been able to develop strategies and actionable plans to get me out. She makes things as radical as self-compassion feel workable! Each session has brought me insight that has truly made a difference in my journey to better myself. Thank you Bobbie for all that you have done for me!
