Parent + Caregiver Support in Salado, Texas

Is your child or loved one struggling with an eating disorder or OCD and you aren’t sure how to help?

An eating disorder or OCD can feel all-consuming to not just the person, but the family system as a whole. Relationships are strained, you feel like you are walking on eggshells, and you have no idea what to say, or not say, to make it all go away.

Just like healing doesn’t happen alone, the helpers need help too. I’m here to be your support and coach you through some of the toughest parts of caring for a loved one with a mental health concern. If your loved one is going through intensive treatment, or perhaps has decided to not seek treatment, this space is yours to freely explore your worries, doubts, and hardships.

I use Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) to help caregivers feel more confident supporting their loved one through eating disorder or OCD recovery. Together, we'll work through your own fears and emotional blocks, practice what to say and how to say it, and build practical skills you can use at home.

HOW I HELP PARENTS + CAREGIVERS

You read all the baby books, prepared for the transition to starting school, braced for impact for the teen angst, but nothing and no one prepared you for this.

Seeing your child feel imprisoned in their mind, or terrified at the dinner table, feels hopeless and daunting. Being the only support for a loved one that hasn’t quite come around to seeking treatment is a lot for anyone to carry.

Although your child or loved one is not my client, I can offer you coaching, support, and guidance on how to best take care of yourself while taking care of others.
